Baby’s 1st Birthday
It’s your Baby’s First Birthday! You may celebrate quietly at home, you may throw a wonderful party or something in between! When our daughter turned ONE, we had a cookout in the back yard with relatives and friends, which was a wonderful celebration! We have many pictures to remember the day, with a chocolate-cake-covered face of a very happy one year old as one of my favorites.
Years later, I read about this great idea that I wished I had thought of on that day. Ask all the important people in your child’s life to write him or her a letter that will not be opened until they are 18 years old. It will be such a special joy to open the letters so many years later…especially if some of those people are no longer here with you. Where we live in a world full of STUFF, it will be wonderful for your child to have meaningful notes to read on their 18th birthday!
Even if your child is a bit older now…may still be a wonderful thing to do!
