Let’s get ready for Christmas!
Now you may be of the old school in waiting to decorate for Christmas until after Thanksgiving. People put up Halloween décor in September…so why not decorate early for Christmas? We at Think It’s Been Easy have found that at least starting to prepare for Christmas in November takes the pressure off the time we have in December to actually enjoy the days leading up to Christmas. At the same time, we can still honor Thanksgiving Day and what it represents!
I am famous for making lists…so let’s make a list of the different tasks you need to accomplish in order to be prepared for Christmas. If you use artificial greens and flowers, you can start anytime in November! We finally broke down and bought our first artificial Christmas tree a few years ago and our goal every year is to have it decorated by Veterans’ Day!
Make your list of all the things that you can accomplish in November to help relieve the December stress. Include things like:
Get your Christmas cards and write them out so they will be ready to mail after Thanksgiving.
Buy wrapping supplies (if you didn’t get them at the end of season sales last January😊).
Setup your Christmas tree and greens ( If they are artificial).
Put your candles in the windows.
Put outdoor lights on your shrubbery while it is still relatively warm outside.
Fill your outdoor pots with greenery before the soil is frozen.
Add any other things that are important for you…
Most importantly remember the reason for the season…Enjoy each task on your list!
